55 gallon drums - weight??

How do you guys dispose of these full bins ?? they must weigh a ton depending on what/how the wood was cut. A regular garbage can can be plenty heavy on garbage day. I'm planning out a new shop and love the idea of a 55 gallon drum but the practical use of it stumps me.

I have a plastic 55 gallon barrel with 4" caster wheels mounted on the bottom. It is easy enough to roll around even outside over grass and small rocks when it is half full. I have never let it fill to the top, although it is nice to have the extra margin in case I forget to check often enough.

How about strapping the barrel to a two wheel hand truck? It wouldn't raise the barrel very much (in place) and it would roll around easily anywhere.
