Another advantage of clearvue

Forgive me if this comes across as a very basic observation, but when I noticed it, it once again reaffirmed my decision to purchase the clearvue and thought I should share it regardless.

For the fist time since setting up the CV, I attached my Dewalt planer (the one with the blower assisted dust port) to a 4" hose that connected to the 6" main. All the other gates were closed. The chips and dust did not swirl around like they do when using my other 6" dust ports. It was a very broken up, and they were not hugging the inside of the cyclone in a tight pattern. Once I opened another gate about half-way, it immediately began swirling like it should.

I attribute this to the lack of sufficient air flow via the 4" port. However, If I had not been able to see inside the cyclone, I never would have known I had a problem. Thanks for the great design!
