I came accross a small scale hops harvester which is fitted with what appears to be a run-of-the mill dust collector. Here are the specs:
2HP
1700CFM
11" pressure
12" impeller
6" ducting
It is probably a 30 micron filter judging by the airflow. I read a bit about the differences in materials separation and I thought I'd be able fo find a cyclone version of a collector for mulched up leaf instead of dust or wood chips. I noticed that the specs aforementioned wouldn't be hard to reproduce by replacing the 0.2-2 micron filter with a 30 micron on many designs; howver, I do realize that diamerer/height and other geometries are important, and to get the right mix you need to know what you're separating.
Also I was hoping to get something much quieter so I didn't have to wear ear plugs. I saw ratings of 72dB on some machines (at 1000'? who knows). Is the clearvue modifiable for this type of service?
Thanks
