Industry basically does that for most all of their filter setups. The difference is most have the filters horizontally mounted. It makes it easier to access them. Also easier to blow air into them to dislodge the dust cake rater than getting under them. You'll get the idea if you look at the various dust collector business websites. Note their filters are designed for the air to flow from outside to inside the filter so you need to specify that if ordering from someone like Wynn. They will place the filter media the right way when they assemble the cartridge.
