Yes, flex pipe will work. The system has plenty of suction, but you have to realize that flex pipe has a lot more resistance to air flow than smooth wall pipe, so the longer the run of pipe the more your losses inCFM will be. If you have a small shop and are only hooking up one machine at a time you can use a flex hose for that purpose. If you have a 40 ft. run of flex hose you would loose almost all of your air flow.
