H230B relay just clicks

Hello,
I ordered a CV1700 last week and now have it installed. Everything came prewired so i just needed to connect the L1 & L2 from the breaker box. The relay in the control box just clicks when starting the unit. If i bypass the relay the motor starts and it runs fine. Is it possible the relay is faulty? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I do not know how you bypassed the relay but I would check the continuity of the two hot wires going into the relay (from your source) and the continuity of both hot wire from the relay output to the motor. It is unusual to have a bad relay but the above will tell you of it is bad.

I am getting 24o from my source to the relay. From the relay to the motor is nothing. I am getting 120 to the relay from the plug. Any suggestions? Thanks again. I really appreciate it.
