New CV1800 LH - Single Phase Motor Spinning Backwards

So I just finished the installation of my CV1800 LH and when I tested it out the motor is spinning backwards (CW when looking at impeller from below). Is it possible I was shipped the wrong motor?

If this was a 3-phase motor I know I could switch two of the input leads, but I don’t have that option on single phase. On single phase motors I’m pretty sure I could just swap the starter wires but I don’t feel like tearing that open unless I have to.

Hi Mike:

No - you did not receive the wrong motor, you just have it wired incorrectly. You (or your licensed electrician) will need to open the wire control box on the side of the motor, and switch your wiring so that it exactly matches the instructions listed on page 25 of your manual.

While we recommend double-checking all of the wires, likely it's just the location of wires T5 and T8 that need to be reversed.
