Ed,
I am interested in the new small cyclone. I appreciate all the hard work you and Bill P. have put into this project. The holdbacks on the present design for me were price and height. Before I make a big step I would like to know some of your preliminary findings. Price, size of motor if possible. As you said on the site the findings are impressive but it is early. By the way, I am not far away, I live near Inman. I would love to stop by some time. Thanks again, DavidC.

Dave,
With my 5hp Leeson motor and our impeller hooked up to the little cyclone we were getting a current reading of about 12.6 - 12..8 amps with a 6" pipe hooked up to the inlet of the cyclone. Going by the measurements that Bill did on our blower, a current draw of 12.8 amps is about 900 - 1000 cfm. I'm not real happy with that number and I'm probably going to take that picture down. Bill talks about smaller diameter cyclones on his site and said that you would have to increase the blower size to over come the SP drop in the smaller unit. I just had to try. I will say this, it sucks a lot more air than the 2hp 12" diam impeller I'm using now on my regular size cyclone. I'm going to be retired full time at the end of March, so I'll have more time to work on this stuff. In the mean time, I love to have people come visit me, so any time, give me a call and we'll set something up. 878-3827

Thanks Ed and thanks for the info. I am a pastor so my schedule is interesting sometime, but I'll give you a call. Thanks, David
