Old CV06 to shop vacuum adapter

Back 'in the day' I remember a baffle/adapter that would mount a CV06 onto a shop vacuum. The 'head' of the vacuum was mounted 'sideways' on the adapter (yes, it made the 'head' not work for liquids anymore).

Do you have the plans or information you could post? Or at least a picture or two?

Anyone?

Is this what you are looking for? I have pictures only. Ed Morgano made this as a replacement lid for the Rigid vac.

Yes, that is the one. I would like to learn about it if someone would mind providing a few more details (with more detailed pix?) ...

It looks like a great option to have a convenient smaller cyclone footprint to roll around the shop.

Servant74,
I really like mine. I use a HEPA filter with a cloth cover my wife sewed for me. The unit is convenient and I can vacuum right in front of the laser particle counter without raising the numbers much. I'm attaching photos in case you want to build your own. Note that this uses the hand-built CV06. I think Ed was dissatisfied with the order volume he got.

Ok, this is probably an newbie question. The new CV06 seems to not have the 'cone' like the big brothers do, but the old one does. Is that right or is it just my perception.

Second question, is the old CV06 built using the same 'spreadsheet' calculations as the big brothers or is it a separate design? (referring to the spreadsheet on Bill Pentz site for building a custom dust collectors)

Thanks ...

I believe the new one has straight sides. The old one was advertised as a scaled version and I think I've seen numbers somewhere (Bill's site?) for the dimensions.

I have both the original (a six inch Pentz design) and the new Mini-CV06. The Ridgid unit that Bababrown photographed was removed from production by Ed Morgano after Ridgid complained about their use of their shop vacuum. The original CV06 was removed from production because Oneida bullied Ed with a threatened lawsuit after their much newer product received a provisional patent and he could not afford to fight for his rights. The new Mini-CV06 is a completely different design that is cylindrical and substantially smaller. It is very efficient (as was the original). Hope this helps.
