And only certain stores. Of the two we have that are reasonably local to me, one carries 6" SDR35, one doesn't. Both have the fittings, though.
I suggest you also call around to any local plumbing supply houses in your area as well, for prices seem to vary a bit. And with time as well. One supplier I called when first looking quoted a very good price. A few months later when I was ready for the pipe, their price had gone way up and they were no longer the lowest.
There have been a fair amount of discussions concerning pipe, but the way the forums work by default, only the last 100 days or so is visible. It might be worth your while to change that (box in lower right on most screens) and review some of the older posts. Might give you some other ideas as well.
