Taperlock not fitting on motor shaft

After buying my CV1800 about 6 years ago, I was very busy finishing up the new house and now I am finally able to set it up in my new shop. I've only 1 issue in the setup. The taper lock will not fit over the motor shaft. I was going to open it up slightly by prying the taperlock open slightly. Before I do so, I wanted to check to make sure this would not damage anything. The alternative was to tap the lock on with a block of wood and mallet.
Any suggestions?
 
Problem solved. I returned to the shop and the taperlock had sat for a few hours. It must of relaxed a bit and slid on just like the video. It had been sitting in the impeller for quite a few years.
I now have the impeller / motor together.

Just be certain that you follow the directions to torque the cap screws correctly. Glad you got it sorted out.
