will these adapters work?

I've been searching for some way to connect 6" flex hose to my collector bin and found these at McMasters. Also wondering if they might work to connect 6" 2729 to tools. What do you guys think, thanks

In my experience, a majority of cyclone owners use a "starter collar" similar to this that is readily available at your local home improvement center. You can pop rivet one of these onto the cover of a galvanized can (found at the same place) or into a hole in a plywood or MDF cover that you can fabricate for your collection bin such as shown in the picture I've attached. The damper holes and connection are sealed with silicone caulk.
