Buying a Clear Vue soon, and was thinking of noise control. I am just starting design, and was curious to know if the cyclone can be left open?


I do plan on enclosing the filter with some sort of noise panel and baffle. But was curious how much noise am I going to get out of the cyclone being open. Not looking for silence, but why buy a clear vue if I cant see it work Joking of course.
I liked jsbrow design, so I wanted to somewhat mimic it. But was just curious if this will work

I am in the design and just found a source for S&D pipe. My plan was to only enclose the DC if noise poses a problem but in the thread Erik talks about closing the gap to reduce sound and improve performance. In your design make sure there is air circulation for the motor.
