8" or 10" Insulated duacting

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to the best solution for fitting insulated flex duct over the 8" straight transition, ive tried the 8" silver jacket (from lowes) and it simply wont fit, has anyone used 10"? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
 
I'm using 10" insulated HVAC flex duct off of my exhaust straight transition. I was too large, but I just taped it down until I had it sealed around the transition. It would have been better to have an 8"-10" adapter, possibly, but I never tried to find one. So far, this is working well. I used the R8 insulated flex duct from Home Depot (link) for what ever additional sound absorption it might provide over the R6.

Hint to Clear Vue: give us an option for a straight transition that will fit 10" flex duct, even if it's a special order.
