This is my cyclone and the sound readings that I gathered. It is standard 2 by 4 concstruction ,1/2" cdx exterior sheathing, r 13 insulation with 7/16" osb interior sheathing ,4" slab floor,2 by 6 rafters with r 19 insulation,1/2" drywall on ceiling over the cyclone motor for fire protection. Standard steel insulated exterior door.
I used a radio shack digital db meter, a scale, long sample.
102db inside shed with door closed.
64db standing 10' from shed with door closed.
82db inside shop without duct work installed with 8" port leading into shop.
The cyclone is a 1800 MAX.
