can you run the dust collector at a 45 degree angle instead of straight down I want to put the dust storage outside and run a pipe thru the wall

You ever see a vertical tornado? The first owners of Clear Vue tested them until horizontal and they still separated. At almost and at horizontal the heaviest chunks of wood would just spin in the cyclone and not exit through the cone but all the dust and shavings did. Having it at 45* will work without a problem. Just don't forget to check the bin. Angling it also lets one fit it in a lower ceiling or in an attic.

that is my problem not enough height to be able to remove the dustbin
