Feedback on filter mounting idea

I'm considering of mounting my filters in a considerably different way from what I've seen anyone do so far. As a result of how I mounted everything, I don't have a lot of extra space that would normally be under the filters (4-5"). Here's what I'm thinking of.

- Concrete anchors in the concrete floor
- Place bottom filter (gasket down) on floor and bolt down
- Place top filter (gasket down) on top of bottom filter and bolt together using threaded rod
- Glue flanges to both the top of the top filter and bottom of the transition
- Short piece of big clear flex between the two

It seems that I'd be able to disassemble the filter assemble very easily with it like this and it'd be 100% sealed.

Thoughts?

The only thing I see is that with no catch basin, the very bottom of your floor filter will have to serve as the catch basin. You bottom filter will need more cleaning effort is the only drawback I see.

Urg I ended up giving in and building the stupid cleanout box. I'm just sick of prepping/painting MDF. Oh well.
