I've had my CV1800 now for a few months. I previously had a Jet 1100. I'm a hobbyist working on my largest project yet - an entry door with sidelights. After hooking up the CV I did notice more air flow but for some reason not as big as a difference as I expected.
Guess air flow is hard to perceive and must be measured. For looks I needed to remove about 0.100" from four large door panels which are too big for my planer so I used my drum sander. Before I could smell the dust in the shop even hours after sanding. With the CV - nothing and I was sanding for a good hour.
