How to wire motor with 4 wire cable

I just received my 1800 cyclone this past week and am wiring the motor. When I had the contractor wire my shop, I had him put in an outlet box for a 220 volt machine. There is no plug in, but the box contains the 4 wires, red, black, white and ground. My question is: do I need to use all four wires to wire the motor? Do I use the black wire to P1, the red wire to T4 and T 8 and the ground to the green screw? I plan to use the remote supplied to the unit. Thanks for your help. Steve

Use a wire nut to cap off the white wire, then wire per the instructions. Your electrician put in a cable with a neutral not knowing what you might use it for. Some appliances need the neutral because something like a time or clock, works off of 110 volts instead of 220. You're good to go. Jim.

Jim, thanks for your help. I can proceed now. Just need to get someone to help me lift the motor assembly up to the support. I may try and block and tackle. Thanks again, Steve.
