I would like to add an overhead drop above my panel cutting station to use with my track saw to get away from catching my shop vac hose on the track and workpiece. I have a CV 1800 set up with 6” drops to all my stationary tools. Would reducing from 6” to 4” then on down to 1 1/4” hose be effective or will I lose too much pressure to work?

I doubt that you will get much dust extraction with your scenario versus using a Shop Vac or better yet a dust extractor like a Fein or Festool with a longer hose. The Vac/dust extractors don't produce high airflow, but they do have high static pressure (suction) and a hose can be suspended up and over your panel station. Festool makes a boom system for their extractors if you want an example.
