Just posted my saw and routher lift w/ducting, thought I'd share my cyclone and closet. the door is on barn door rails / trolley behind the beam. The door is 3/8's ply and 2x4 frame, with solid foam insulation to bring the noise down. Note the transition as well - it is 3/4 melamine coated particle board with flexible 6" hvac ducting with insulation inside.
The key to bringing the sound down was less the insulation and more ensuring a tight seal at the wall and floor. The whole closet brought the noise down by at least 10 db.
