Noise room doors

I'm finalizing the design on framing in a room about 4'x6', big enough to hold my CV as well as a pair of shop vacuums and cyclones. I need my doors adjacent, about 5' wide. I'm considering patio doors but feel there has to be a better way. Key here is the door will be heavy with two layers of 1/2" sheet rock on each side with green glue in between. I'm not sure the patio door hinges would hold the weight and a single shop-made door would be heavy.

Any suggestions? Am i missing something?

Jim,

I'd think that three heavy commercial door hinges would be adequate to hold a door like you are contemplating -- they are usually 5" to 6" heavy plate with four screw holes per leaf. You might find them in a salvage yard or an industrial supply house.
